Wow, that's a lot of oil to be pouring down that babe.   But as has been
stated, an engine hooked to a saw, grinder or similar piece of equipment
would run hotter, burn out the oil, etc.  I still don't see why Dave's
engine acted as it did by seizing up a bit with the ND oil.

While you guys were drinking beer, did anyone bother to count the  
"drops per minute" of the non-detergent oil?

One manual I have says fifteen drops per minute, another manual says  
two drops per minute per inch of bore diameter.

Oiling on an engine is not like vermouthing a martini.
