Another variable that might be a factor is the drip rate.  Don't you  
set your oilers to 0.024 drops per minute?  Perhaps a more LIBERAL  
application of lubricants would affect the running characteristics.   
If not, then just fill the oilers with gasoline–it seems to do the  
trick.
