If a spark plug engine (that was running) will not fire with a buzz coil  
that "buzzes", then he either has a bad spark plug or gas.  Unless  something 
major has happened like timing, something broken, etc.  Buzz  coils have 
internal condensers that will go bad, etc., and they will not  "buzz". Or like 
someone said, the points will stick. They are  cheap $15-$25 and if not 
buzzing and the owner knows nothing about them, find  another one that works.
