Hi there,
Thought I'd give my fellow list members first crack at my engine stable
since I've finally gotten off the fence and decided to sell them. I have
three main hobbies that consume space around here, steam engines,
stationary engines and my model railway. Of course my time is also eaten
by family, work, Scouts and the Puffing Billy Railway! Anyway, I've found
a walking beam steam engine than I want much more than I want my engine
collection and I need to finance the purchase.

I'll create a web page sometime this week with photos but many can already
be found on www.steamengine.com.au

All of these engines have been stored dry in a shed. For the most part
they have not been run in the last eight to ten years. All will need some
attention to make them go. All are runners. I can give you a repro manual
with the engine.

The following engines are available.
* 3hp Stover open crank hit and miss (badged as Cooper) with a Wico EK -
1920's
* 4hp Ottawa Throttle governed open crank (most likely the only 4hp Ottawa
in Australia as I brought it home from USA myself) - would have powered a
drag saw - this engine had a freeze crack in the head which has been
repaired by welding and has not given any dramas - I've always had
problems with speed control on this machine - 1920's
* New Record Dragsaw (steel frame version) with three blades powered by a
3hp Rosebery vertical - needs a better drive belt - 1940/50's
* Two reel mowers (cannot remember the brand right this second) from
around 1920's
* Rosebery 3C complete 1930's
* Rosebery 3C incomplete but has new gaskets, rings, etc 1950's
* Southern Cross 4 P on (non orignal) transporter - I'm told this engine
is quite unusual in that only a few of this configuration were made - it
has round circular holes in the cast base which most don't have.

I'm not selling the Maytag or SPB from my website. I gave the Maytag to my
kids and the SPB will go back to the land holder it came from when I
finish it as I promised him I would not sell it.

There will also be a bunch of engine related tools that will be available
since I won't need them anymore such as:
* new in box parts washer
* 2 ton chain hoist
* big threading die and handles (up to 2" pipe) with a few dies

I have a Lucas RS-1 magneto (sparks but not fantastic) and an assortment
of reproduction mufflers that I'll work out what they are and list them
later.

Expressions of interest are invited. Offers won't be accepted before I
make the site with photos of each engine showing their current condition.

Any engines without interest will go onto ebay later this week.

Regards
Paul
