[SEL] Parallel Universe?

I'm becoming convinced that my workshop lies in an area overlapped by an 
alternative universe and ours.

Evidence:
Case 1. Quite regularly pieces of my equipment (e.g., tools, parts, 
instruments), simply disappear if I take my eyes off them for an 
instant. Shortly afterwards, they reappear, often now to be found in a 
place nearby but where certainly I did not put them.

Case 2. If I drop a part, usually a small screw or similar article, it 
is useless to look for it immediately. It has been spirited away for 
examination, possible even to be reproduced for their own projects, then 
replaced quite soon after, quite undamaged but often feeling slightly 
warm - they must be quick workers. I have learned not to bother to look 
for anything I have dropped immediately, but after a short while it may 
be found, but not always exactly where a reasonable person would expect 
it to be.

Conclusion: The inhabitants of this universe seem to be mischievious but 
so far, irritating but harmless to me. I have theorised that they may 
even be engaged in the restoration of old machinery, even to the extent 
of projects identical with mine, as they seem to take a keen interest in 
my projects.

Queries:
1. How do I block a worm-hole?
2. Has this phenomenon been experienced elsewhere or is there a better 
explanation for these perplexing happenings which have been increasing 
in frequency in recent years?
3. Mrs JW claims occasionally to have spotted an old man with a long 
white beard and carrying a scythe in the vicinity. Any co-relationshsip?
