Are you speaking of Imperial or US Gallons? Gallons by volume or weight?
I have to make a gas tank for a small engine and I'd like for it to hold
2 gallons.  If the interior width of my base is 8 inches and the maximum
height the tank can be is 6 inches, how long does the tank need to be?
..... Just kidding folks!

Rick according to my input 1 cu ft = 7.48 gal so this would not be
practical 
for me, I wish it was.
