Now, I don't want to be unkind, but the Sundial engine number chart at http://www.oldengine.org/members/diesel/EngineDating/Sundial2.htm
is only a guide and not to be taken too seriously. These are not  
factory production figures, just someone's estimate.
You will notice that there are a lot of years with the same production  
numbers. This, obviously, would not happen in real life. Even the  
starting date of 1926 is debatable. It had generally been believed  
that the Sundial was introduced in 1932. Maybe both dates are wrong.
