> Anyone know the history on this engine?

Primary source information is hard to come by, but I have been told
that the Rutland engine was based on the design of the Robinson engine
built at Warrnambool, Vic. At least one of those exists.

Rutland Engineering Co P/L were at 380 Bourke St, Melbourne and made
dairy equipment. It is possible that only about 45 engines were built.
It is also suggested that Ronaldson Bros & Tippett bought the firm in
the early 1920's to get their milking machine.

The carburettor is a Schebler.
