[SEL] Engine Primer

Hi all;
 
Any recommendations on a really good, high build , primer for engines ?
Im going to start restoring a Petter AV engine soon, altho it looks bad, 
it's not really a rusty lump, but I would like the final paint finish to look
really nice and fairly smooth {as you can over un-polished cast iron }

Remember "Big Rust" is an engine, "Little Rust" is a frozen part
