While putting an O ring on a shaft once I accidentally dropped it in some
lacquer thinner I had on the bench to clean a paint brush. I looked for an
hour for the O ring and finally gave up and went to town and purchased
another one. The next day I was pouring out the thinner and there was the O
ring. It was about 1/2 inch dia before it went in the thinner. It was
probably an inch and a half diameter when I pulled it out. Real "rubbery"
too!
