I'll keep that in mind. I may also check out a pawn shop and the flea markets.
I'm sorta leaning toward using what I have and that is an end from a piece of 5" diameter shafting. I can get enough out of that sucker to make the head and two flywheels and maybe have some left over. The other stuff (especially the model flywheel castings) are a bit pricey for this project.
