Probably not to derogatory Peter. The majority of Poms fit in here real well
and are well liked but they are still fair game for the Aussie sense of
humour. Perth is full of "John the Pom's, Pommie Steve etc,the nick names
proof that they are well regarded.

Derogatory name for the natives of the British Isles, mainly used by
'Exported Poms' in Australia to described their relatives back home
