With most still cameras offering some kind of video facility, and even
mobile (cell) phones getting in on the act, it is probably only worth
having a video camera if you want to be able to use all the various
features and functions.

We got our Sony video camera last year and use it a lot at shows and
things like that, but like most devices it needs regular 'walkies' to
keep it fit for purpose. It takes mini-DVD discs.

It takes stills as well, so we now have a still camera that does
videos and a video camera that does stills!
