I have had several friends die from it.  One whose father came home every day 
white from the fibers all over his clothes.  He died at 35.  The other never 
knew where he got his from and dead at 50.  Felt puny, got a cough for several 
weeks thinking it was the flu/cold/etc.  6 months later, dead!  Bad stuff the 
fibers are. But just like smoking, some can tolerate it and others are not so 
lucky.
