[SEL] Sticking lead to cast iron

Rick:

You need to get some acid flux to get the solder to adhere to cast iron.  Clean the area 'til you are down to clean metal then apply the flux and heat the part until the lead will melt against the cast.  Then you should see the lead flow.  More flux may be necessary after heating.
