Subject: [SEL] More good news
Hi Guys & Gals,
This year really started off badly for me with lightning strikes,
computer problems etc. but it seems like someone is looking after me and
things are getting better. Last week it was an old acquaintance offering to
sort out the diesel parts on my Witte and today I received an eMail from a
total stranger who had visited my website.
He had a model steam engine built by his grandfather between 1941
and 1945 and was looking to give it away to someone who would appreciate
and look after it and "would I be interested" (Is the Pope a Catholic?). Of
course the answer was "Yes".
I picked it up tonight and it's beautiful. Appears to be complete
and even has a miniature set of spanners (wrenches) with it. It is complete
with a display table and glass box type lid.
I'd never dreamt of owning a model steam engine - they are just
too expensive and are not found under every bush.
It needs to be cleaned up and polished and I'm meeting with a
friend who is very clued up on Saturday. We will check it all out and
decide on what do next then.
I've put a few pics here - please have a look:

Keep the revs up (or down)
