  Hi Guys & Gals,
           This year really started off badly for me with lightning strikes, 
  computer problems etc. but it seems like someone is looking after me and 
  things are getting better. Last week it was an old acquaintance offering to 
  sort out the diesel parts on my Witte  and today I received an eMail from a 
  total stranger who had visited my website.

           He had a model steam engine built by his grandfather between 1941 
  and 1945 and was looking to give it away to someone who would appreciate 
  and look after it and "would I be interested" (Is the Pope a Catholic?). Of 
  course the answer was "Yes".

           I picked it up tonight and it's beautiful. Appears to be complete 
  and even has a miniature set of spanners (wrenches) with it. It is complete 
  with a display table and glass box type lid.

           I'd never dreamt of owning a model steam engine - they are just 
  too expensive and are not found under every bush.

           It needs to be cleaned up and polished and I'm meeting with a 
  friend who is very clued up on Saturday. We will check it all out and 
  decide on what do next then.
