There are a couple of books you can look out for:

"The Villiers Engine", B E Browning, published by Pearson in the UK.
"The Book of The Villiers Engine", published by Pitman in the UK.

The Browning book is probably the better of the two (I have both here)
and there are also versions for other makes such as BSA, JAP etc.
