I know the feeling but slide projectors can be had cheap at thrift
shops, yard sales, etc. if it comes to that

used to scan their slides with and now that they were scanned they no
longer 
needed it and I could buy it.

I have talked to some people who tried to use a flat bed scanner with a
35mm 
slide adaptor and they got very poor results, There has to be a better
way 
to do that spend several hundred dollars which is not laying around in
my 
house at the moment.

I will hang loose for a little while and see what, if anymore,
suggestions 
come in from the folks on the list, they have never let me down before
and I 
am betting they will come through this time although this is non-engine 
related.
