[SEL] Spam> Oiler Gaskets

I have a drip oiler on the crosshead of my steam engine.  The oiler was leaking aroung the glass so I attempted to make new gaskets using cardboard like a cereal box is made of.  The oiler still leaks so I need to know what kind of gasket material works best for this. I also need to know how tight should I screw the top down on the oiler.  I don't want to risk breaking the glass.
