All of Toyotas and Fords Hybrids are Atkinson Cycle Engines.  They do  it 
with variable valve timing instead of changing the stroke length, but the end  
result is the same.  That's the reason they only run on low octane gas, and  
have such low compression numbers for a modern engine.  I think it's pretty  
cool.
