Alan, that sure looks like the Ottawa counter weight to me.  I think maybe it was something that was "cobbled" together.  That is possibly what Steve saw.  My gosh, his service is free!      Helen

  Those log saw parts are telling me they are Hercules.
  I have the Ottawa and someplace around here I think I have those Hercules parts too.

  Ottawa didn't use that chain drive.  AFAIK
  Maybe a very early Ottawa ???????  I don't have any info on them.
