Dave,
    I've seen them with original paint in both green and red.  I don't 
know if age played a part in this or the application.  The green was a 
deep green (almost black) like a brewster green with maybe some black 
mixed in.  The red was a deep red and a color that I have used is dupont 
number 43124.  See what other info people have for you.
