[SEL] Briggs eng dating needed

Today I judged our local 4H fair kids with their small engine projects and had 
a 10yr old youngster bring a nicely restored briggs engine to display.  
Needless to say he received a blue ribbon and I recommended he take his engine 
to our Illinois state fair.  He was asking me for help in dating the engine so 
really could use your help.
