Paul,

Make your own rivets from nails. Cut them to the right length and put the
heads on the inside and peen on the outside. Put a heavy pipe in a vice to
use for the anvil.

Subject: [SEL] Riveting

Guys I want to put a new shell on my muffler for my Stover and I want do my
best to maintain originality. Look at this picture of my muffler, I
sandblasted just the area where the rivets are so you could see them
clearly. I do not want to use pop rivets so what is the best method to use
to replicate these rivets. What kind of tools will I have to have to do the
job or maybe it would be best to send the shell to someone who could make a
new shell with the rivets. Just let me know what is the best method.

Thanks for the help.

Paul
