Hi Pete,
Reminds me of the time my clutch cable broke on my '50 Harley.
I had to ride home in city traffic trying to "time" the red lights.

braking manouevre!  Didn't matter so much if you lost the clutch, but
losing the front brake was a REAL problem.
 
The old Ariel Red Hunter 350 I had did that to me.
