[SEL] What engine is this??

Peter,

The transmission is a Capitol, but they made marine transmissions that
were used with various engines.

I'll load a couple more pictures, including the trans cover.

Is there any ID on the gearbox cover plate?

Are there any details from the injector and pump?

Looks sort of Scandinavian, but they preferred hot-bulbs to full
diesels.
