Although of a different order of magnitude, another surviving steam
shovel that is regularly operated for the public twice a year resides
at Lake Goldsmith Steam Park in country Victoria, Australia.
It is Australia's largest, (90 tons) fully operational steam shovel
and the remaining one of a pair imported from England in the 1920s
(?) by Portland Cement to work at their Geelong quarries.
See http://www.lakegoldsmithsteamrally.org.au/
It is a great crowd pleaser.
Regards,
Mark
