Hi Guys,
A friend of mine (no internet) is building a "wood gas producer"
to run an engine off (small engine - 3 HP) and is looking for information.
The plans he is working off are from the net but I do not know which site
but the one he is trying to copy runs a John Deere tractor and uses wood chips.
He has progressed pretty far with the unit and will probably be
able to give it a trial run within a week.
I'm looking for any additional information (or Internet sites) to
help him.

The one thing that I would really like to find is plans for a home
built "wood chipper". Probably one that runs off a tractor P.T.O. and uses
a heavy flywheel with "teeth" (maybe Tungsten) to chip the wood. We have a
lot of green wood available (mostly Eucalyptus) from twig size up to
branches of about 3" (and even bigger).

In the USA wood chippers seem to be pretty common but we do not
have them in South Africa so information is limited. His Tractor is a 60 HP
Landini but I would prefer something that would run off about 30 or 35 HP
(then I could also build one for my Massey Ferguson 35 to make compost with).

Thanks in advance for any information and have a good holiday weekend.

Keep the revs up (or down)
