[SEL] Residual Oil?

In short, residual oil is what's left in the bottom of the 
fractionating still. Doesn't boil at the temperature and pressure used 
in the still. To vaporize in your engine, it has to "crack" from the 
heat into lighter molecules that can vaporize. The same is true of 
fatty oils, which are "fixed" and can't be distilled.
