Hey Bill

I had a '93 Dodge diesel & now have a '05; never noticed this "light
weight on the rear wheels" problem? Just got back from KY with a
trailer load probably grossing bout 5k pounds; setting the cruise on 60
I averaged near 23 mpg overall. BTW if you're anywhere near Missouri
diesel was 2.31 a gallon when I came through Tuesday! Packed the tank
full; made it within 60 miles of home before the low fuel light came on!

hi paul,, one suggestion on a 3/4 ton, if you get a diesel, and it
doesnt
have 4wd, you can forget about driving on other than hard surfaces, just
too
much weight on the front wheels,,i have a 92 dodge and it will hardly
pull
itself out of a heavy dew on grass !! but on the plus side, other than
new
brake shoes and pads its never been in the shop, NEVER,,,, even the A/C
has
never been touched and will still freeze ya out,,,,it has the old
mechanical
fuel injection pump and will get 19 and 20 mpg on the highway even with
an
engine trailer behind it,,, wish i could buy a new one just like it
again,,,, i added air bag helper springs on the rear, and use them
occasionaly when i'm pulling a heavily loaded gooseneck livestock
trailer,,,,i had a 1/2 ton chev set up the same way, but theres just no
compairing the 1/2 and 3/4 ton,, hope this helps,,
