Joe, you beat me to it.  I had one as a kid; it had a wooden platform body.  
Not sure about
age or manufacturer, as it was aged when I got it.  It was very cool, 
though, and I remember
the body being trimmed suspiciously similar to my Flexible Flyer sled.
