Actually, mate, "Frisco Standard" is just a slang name for "Standard"  
engine made in San Francisco.  The geographic prefix is to  
differentiate the make from the myriad of other "Standard" engines.
Besides Standard and Samson, other California "four post" engines  
that immediately come to mind are Union, Gorham, and National.
There are probably more that will come to mind about 2 a.m.
