Thanks for the reply - 
You and I both know the dangers all too well.

I don't know Steve - But sounds like he has an engine that doesn't want
to start too easily.
Frustration in not a reason to use a crank.

I am thoroughly convinced that YOU know what YOU'RE doing.
You will also notice that when YOU use a crank - I don't stand in line
with YOUR flywheels.
