[SEL] Fairbanks Morse Dishpan Oiling Questions

Hi Francis
I'll take a stab at this from memory. The oil goes in the Rectangular hole,
it runs down a little trough and onto the cam follower and the cam. I'm
really not sure about the governor. I went out and looked at the pot metal
bracket for my Fairbanks 1.5hp and there is no way to lube the governor
other than just give it a shot with an oil can. The 3hp engines and probably
the 6's have a grease cup for the governor shaft.
Hope this helps,
Dave

Subject: [SEL] Fairbanks Morse Dishpan Oiling Questions
Hi List,
On my newly acquired Fairbanks Morse dishpan engine, located below the
magneto, cast into the assembly is the word - "Oil". The question that I
have is
where does the oil go - Rectangular, small or large round hole? How is
the
governor weight assembly oiled?
