Hi,
In late December and early January, Bill Young who lives in Japan was
visiting southern California. He likes to drop by my place when he is in
town and surprise me with unexpected little projects. This time it was the
re-assembly of a Fairbanks Morse ZD 1 1/2 hp. engine someone else had taken
apart. This was interesting in that neither of us had worked with one of
these before and we had no printed information at all to refer to. Thanks
to people I've met on this and other lists I was able to find online
information that gave us the important timing information, etc. Take a
look at:

to see what we had to work with. If you have never seen inside one of
these you might find it interesting. We did get it to run.

A few weeks ago I put the page together with only the pictures so we could
get some answers to specific questions and therefore I don't have the usual
thumbnails, navigation arrows, etc. It is just a page with some text and
about ten 640 x 480 pictures so it might take a little while to load with a
dial up connection. Please let me know if it takes too long to load and I
will take some time and do it in my usual format.

Regards,
