First, Thanks Spencer, This list is great.  It is also nearly bullet 
proof.  If you don't want a lot of mail you can sign up with no mail and 
read it o the web.  Couldn't be better.

As for Spam,  I use a challenge service. It asks each person who emails me 
if they are a real person. All they have to do to reply is hit Enter.  They 
only need to do it once and they are white listed and not challenged 
again.  If I know I want email such as this list, I can enter the address 
in the white list my self.  I have had the same email address from 1984 so 
I got a LOT of spam.  With this system I went from 150 or so a day to about 
1 every other day.

It requires the cooperation of the outfit that handles your email.  BTW 
That dosn't have to be the same outfit you get your web access from, mine 
isn't

Where else can you learn about engines that are so unique and rare?
Where else can you in a heart-beat find a source for very hard-to-find
hardware to reassemble that 1 only 20 made 1907 whatever?
(OK, I know, Harry's site, but that's different)

I hate spam filters, I hate the way they have to work, I hate the practice
of blacklisting all because one abuses a system,  and I HATE SPAM, but
what else is there with our very technology savvy congress enabling the
spammers and phishers with their so well-thought-out laws?
Anyone have an alternative they can suggest to Spencer?
I didn't think so................  :-)
