In Virginia you can get Game Commission permits to shoot them on your 
property all year long.  Have your name and some of the local hunters names put on 
the permits and they are allowed to shoot at night too!  Having others names on 
the permits allow you to partake of the shop while they partake of the deer.  

Deer are becoming a real nuisance and doing more crop damage and vehicle 
damage each year.  They have become accustomed to living with man and the more 
city folks move to the country and put up their posted signs, the worse this 
situation will become.  To note, I am not a deer hunter.
