Just wanted to let you folks know that the ATIS Holiday Charity auction has
started. I put my first item (of several) up for auction. Check it out
at www.oldironauction.com Please look through your shop for all your
"Rusty Goodies" that you'd like to donate to OldIron Auction. We sell
them off and take 100% of the proceeds and donate them to several
charitable organizations.

I am a few days late announcing the auction as I typically like to announce
it the weekend of Thanksgiving, but this year Thanksgiving was early and I
was still finishing up a few programming tasks. Primarily, I've done some
under-the-covers stuff, but one change will be noticeable to the users.
The software now allows you folks to change your passwords simply by
knowing your alias and email address. In the past, the change process
required my intervention.

I'll continue posting as I list items and hope you folks jump in with items
of your own. We currently have $1900+ from the summer auction and will
combine these proceeds with the holiday auction and disburse them.

Here are a couple of quick notes about payment and disbursements:

> I will be setting up a PayPal account for OldIronAuction. This will
speed up payments.

> I accept credit cards directly. My consulting company started accepting
them for my clients about 1-1/2 years ago and I will accept them for
auction winners if you prefer dealing directly with me intstead of PayPal.
Email me with a phone number and we will handle this over the phone.

> While I will continue to accept checks, I prefer the above methods.

> I will accept nominations for charitable organization starting
immediately. Feel free to email directly at yostsw at atis.net if you want
to nominate off-list

Thanks again and happy bidding!
