Guys
I have a question and this does not pertain to the list but I sure do need
some help with this problem. I'm disabled and live on a small income. I have
a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am that has a bad dimmer switch that is about ready to
go out. For what they want to replace this switch is more than what I bring
home each month. What I want to do is rewire the dim headlights with a
toggle switch in side the car and bypass the dimmer switch all together. I'm
not worrying about having bright headlights as dim lights will do just fine
for no more than I drive my car.  I know how to wire the old cars before
they had computers and my concern is, how can I do this without the car
battery going dead when the light are on? Has any one done this or does any
one know if this is a good idea or a bad idea. Any help on this would be
deeply appreciated.
