Hi Frank,many years ago I used to go to engine shows in a caravan.
I think that is a trailer in American.
I needed a secure tie down point in the van for the engine we were carrying
but didn't want anything in the way when we were living in the van.
I drilled 4 holes though the wooden floor (And Carpet) & fitted 4 removable 
Eye bolts to tie the engine down.

When the exhibit was removed the carpet covered the holes. We used this for 15 years with no problems.
