Brownwall Engine & Pulley Co. Lansing, Mich air & hopper cooled starting
about 1912
Moved to Holland in 1914
Name changed or bought by Holland Engine Co. late 1914 - continued to make
three air cooled & five hopper cooled Brownwall engines until 1924 or so.
About 1923 they designed the engine you are asking about using Ford Model T
piston, rod, valves, etc. Holland always had trouble getting castings
especially in WWI, built their own foundry which was very expensive, then
designed an engine that did not require many. All above from memory, my
notes not available.
