[SEL] Engine Identification Needed

Hi List,
Please take a look at this web site and tell me what kind of engine  this is? 
 The owner tells me that he thinks it is a Hercules.  I found  a Hercules 
engine in the "American Gasoline Engines Since 1872", Page 227 that  looks like 
this engine.  However, the ignition is different.  I  believe the chain drive 
magneto is not original.  
What is a fair price for this type of engine?
