This question COULD relate to our old engines, tractors and cars......
I've heard a lot about putting trace amounts of acetone in gas to:
improve power
improve fuel economy
cause cleaner burning, less emissions
improve "octane" rating of gas.

I'm looking for expert thoughts and opinions.
If it will run cleaner, it could be good in the old engines with ignitors
that foul. If it improves economy, we could run a H n M engine for a whole
week rather than just a weekend on a tank of gas.

A few car people are swearing by it. A few who have not tried it say no
way, can't work, can't help.

How about a scientific analysis?
Does it work?
Does it affect rubber and plastic parts in the very tiny amounts being
touted?
Does it give more power?
How about octane rating - better?

I have my own thoughts and opinions on this, but won't divulge them just yet.
