Gday
Well this weekend was as nice as you can ask for, in ahia this time of year, and this gave me the opportunity to fire up a couple engins for the maybe the last time. The 4 hp R&V is now sitting on the cart I built after the Portland show and she ran sweet for over two hours in my yard. Loading it back into the trailer was much easier, and safer, than when I and about 7 others loaded her in Portland. One little change on the cart will be to mount two 1X8's or 2X8's so the engin skid will slide much smoother onto the cross rails on the cart, I will also plan to drill holes in these to mount the engin solid to the cart. Remember this is to be a mover cart only and it is not really pretty, I built the handle out of a 4 feet 1/2 black iron pipe and they mount through two eye bolts and can easily be removed as needed. The other engin I ran was the little Villiers as she had some fuel in her and it needed run out before the start of cold weather. She had about two or three cups of fuel in the tank and ran for over three hours on this, with out missing a beat. I also wanted to get Tyler's Maytag out to run but the wind picked up some so this will have to wait till his next visit and soon he should be big enough to stomp on the foot pedal to make it look like it is running, his birthday is on Halloween (turns three) and I have found a nice little twin for him. hmmmmmmmmm now if only I can convince his grandma! I am going to mount his engin on wheels so he can move it around and also remove them himself to run the engin, lawn mower wheels should do the job.
