They quote:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
12 volts, 1.8 HP, 37.5 amp draw; Drum diameter: 2.5''; Gear ratio:
210:1; Cable: 5/16'' x 95 ft.; Overall dimensions: 20-11/16''L x
3-1/8''W x 6-15/16''H; Bolt pattern: 10'' x 4.5''; Shipping weight:
106 lbs.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

On a straightforward conversion, that is 410 watts or 0.603 hp, so
somebody should be shouting at the advertising standards people...

There has been explosive growth in the cheap tools market, as Taiwan
and China flood the market with parts that a few years ago you
wouldn't have been able to afford.

>From a safety aspect these are dangerous goods, as few have proper
certification or proof testing, so the accident history is probably
pretty bad, especially for people not used to handling heavy loads and
having no instruction on the correct use of winching systems.
