[SEL] Economy engine Plug Fouling

Francis,

Is the engine lugging and blowing black smoke as in too rich a mixture, or 
could it be from rings not seated and too much oil passing the rings?  If the 
engine is not lugging from too rich gas mixture it sounds like it may be a 
ring/oil problem.  Shut the oil off for a short period of time, or just a couple 
drops/minute and see if this helps.  Also, how about timing causing a not 
complete burn of fuel?  Most of my Economy's like to run with the choke 3/4+ closed 
especially at slower speeds, but this does not mean they are rich mixtures 
causing plug fouling.
