My choice out on this page http://weldmold.com/copper__nickel_alloy.htm
would be the 700 because its pure nickel. My next choice would be the 755
which has copper with the nickel. We use a copper/nickel MIG wire for
welding cast iron in mining equipment repairs. You need to do a normal prep
and preheat to around 150C and peen the weld. Keep it hot by wrapping up in
a welding blanket or similar overnight.I recently used it to weld some cast
wheels with cracked spokes for a engine cart and despite the cast being
badly corroded and thin in places it was a complete success. Being able to
buy it in electrode form is a bonus as you can buy a small quantity. For 17
kilo's of wire it costs me around $1700.00
