Hello. I live in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Many years before
the doctors and lawyers flooded the region, there were model engineering
clubs which met regularly and held meetings and outings. I have the
tether boat "WASP" which amazed the world when it turned 35 mph in
1935. Some years ago I also discovered a 30cc little single cylinder
model gas engine built from "an Elmer Wall kit" in 1936. Over the past
25 years that first engine has led to my trying to locate examples of
the many different designs which Mr. Elmer Wall pretty much thought up
himself. The collection now numbers about 25 different patterns or
pattern variations which he originated. A few never reached production
and are "one-offs," and some are subtle variations. I am always
looking for photos of Mr. Wall, stories, and contacts with anyone who
owns an Elmer Wall model gas engine. Sincerely, Reed
