Rick,
Yup they were heated with the rosebud. Used one of those infrared heat 
guns to check temps and the bearing saddles were about 530°F and the 
dummy shaft near that too. Hard not to heat it all. Things were probably 
a little too warm as the Babbittrite was starting to self ignite. Yes 
that is what was burning in the picture.
