I would call the Springfield a copy, it's certainly real but not an original. A copy of the Mona Lisa is nice but not worth what the original is. Copy's of old manuals and literature are nice to have but not as valuable as the original. If it's being passed as an original then it's a counterfit, much like counterfit money. J.B. Castagnos
